I really hate nz pitch so unfair on the teams losing the toss.
why leave so much grass that makes the decks so flat on day 2-3-4-5.
pitch doesn't even deteriorate.

just as I post that nz take a wicket, still think it makes poor test matches though, especially when teams losing 10 wickets cheaply on day 1 can still draw the game.

A load of starts. Admittedly a couple have gone on a bit more than usual.

New Zealand completed a crushing win by an innings and 67 runs. In their second innings, the West Indies collapsed from 231-2 to 319 all out, losing eight wickets for 88 runs. On the final day, Kraigg Brathwaite was the only batsman to offer any resistance with 91, as the NZ pacers shared the wickets among themselves.

First innings collapse killed the game for the WI...Pitch was green yes, but no extravagant movement for the bowlers, even when Wagner was bouncing batsmen out, there wasn't lots of bounce in wicket, he just bowls akwwardly skiddy bouncers, that get up around rib height, they weren't that threatning, the WI's technique against him was awful, as shown by the dismissal of Hetmyer... Well played NZ, work to be done for WI

Rich coming from someone who condones dustbowls.

Apart from ridiculous dustbowls like Pune or Nagpur, the ball spinning on day 1 isn't bad at least both teams have similar conditions unlike a green top that flattens out on day 2-3.
of course pitches like pune and Nagpur shouldn't be accepted though.

Not any time soon thank god!

West Indies captain Jason Holder has been suspended for one Test and fined 60% of his match fee, and his team-mates have been fined 30% of their match fees, for maintaining a slow over rate during their innings defeat to New Zealand in the first Test in Wellington.

Holder had previously been found guilty of a minor over-rate offence during the first Test against Pakistan in April earlier this year. The offence for the Wellington Test amounted to his second minor-rate offence in a Test within a 12-month period and resulted in his suspension.

Jason Holder, the Windies captain, has been suspended for the second Test against New Zealand owing to his team's poor over-rate during the first Test in Wellington that the hosts won by an innings and 67 runs.
