there's 10 runs (and hopefully no more) that Marsh owes us, before we can count his score.

Boycott is adament that this is a low scoring wicket. I feel its a featherbed myself, unless Ali can get his line and lengths right, England are a slower attack than Australia, this could be a long innings from the Aussies if they apply themselves.

England really threw it away that session

Well, I suppose it could have been worse :(

I guess any innings where you score 300 is not a disaster. It's something to bowl at, and Australia will have to bat for at least 80 overs to get a lead. But it's a long way short of what is likely to be needed to win a test in Brisbane. And the sun is out - it is likely to be a good afternoon for batting. Something tells me that the pitch won't appear anything like as difficult to score on when Australia start batting.

A lot of short pitched stuff towards the end there. I thought it was convention (if not the rules) that you don't bombard the 9, 10 and 11 batsmen. Or am I hopelessly old fashioned?

I don't feel it's a good score either

But other than Warner and Smith this Aussie line up isn't great

Moeen has a massive role, doesnt normally bowl well when there is pressure to perform on him like in India. When he's not expected to do well he does.

Dont think personally there was much danger with the short ball. Pitch is timid, even tailenders can duck.

Yeah. England just lost patience I think and the new batsman didnt want to build again. Shame, as with only 4 bowling options, one of which has had fitness issues, the other who was steaming in and bowling lots of effort balls, you would have liked England to really grind them down by keeping them out another session or two. Could have opened up the scoring.

On leave today, two test matches. :dance

Why are they showing highlights of previous years rather than current match. :hmmm

Well done to England newbie batters. Mark, James and Dawid all scored 50. Yes one of them should have converted the start into 100 though. Still 310 is not a bad total. The 5 bowlers still have something to bowl at.

Keen to see Cameron bat and watch how good he is technically. He is in very good form though having a scored a double. Warner may start batting as if this is ODI and if he hits few well he will switch on to T20 mode.

Yes, still they could show boundaries and wickets and catches when analysis panel has a discussion.

Aussies have negotiated first 3 overs well. Cameron has shown good technique in whatever little he has faced so far.
