Hope you're holding it together on your epic shift.

Regulations say you have to have 11 hours between shifts, by the way.

hard to see england taking wickets without them two which would mean england struggling big time to win games and series.
worse part is not many bowlers coming through that are ready in county cricket either.

I'm not so sure about that - Jake Ball is a better opening bowler, Tom Curran is quick and can bowl for long periods, Craig Overton is rather hostile.

Matt Fisher is another one for the future once he has a full season of County Cricket under his belt.

Wicket for Lyono. Stoneman goes, but a decent Ashes debut for the Newcastle born opener.

Well balanced still.

Hard to know how many England need.

Malan goes to Lyon. England in a losing position. Though MPV says only two sides have chased over 200 to win at the Gabba.

At least Lyon is putting in a performance to match his pre-match talk - which you've gotta think was planned.

Disappointing Stoneman and Malan got out to Lyon in the same way. The constant block, block just means Lyon needs to keep putting it in the same spot to induce a wicket.

Lyon doesn't have a doosra or pace to beat the bat, England's left handers should be taking a leg-guard and play expansively.

Australia's morning without a doubt, but as long as Root hangs around, England have a chance of putting up a defensible target. And this match has been one of clusters of wickets surrounding partnerships. England only need one person to hang around with Root for a decent partnership, and the lead will approach 200 and Australia will be on the back foot again.

Of course, if Root goes soon, then England have no chance. :hide

I hate this game. Every time I turn on the TV, it's just in time for a wicket.

Root out, and that's game over, surely. It's been a close fought contest, with neither side getting the upper hand, but this session now Australia have probably done enough. We'll be done by this evening, I should think.

Given how tight this game has been for much of it, you do have to wonder whether having Stokes in for Ball would have made all the difference for England. Still, we'll never know.

Despite the position England are in here, there hasn't been an awful lot between these two teams for most of the four days. The main differences have been Steve Smith's tremendous powers of concentration - when he gets in, he gets 100s, whereas the England batsmen have got 50s, but none have gone on, and the other main difference has been that Lyon is a much better spinner than Moeen.

Jonny and Mooen looked good at crease in spite of Josh , Cummins and Lyon not offering bad balls.

Nice stumping that by Tim Paine.

Jonny is the only one who may score a 70 odd here.
