Yes. The lunch break might have given him some rest though.

Bet the South Africans aren't happy with the groundsman making this wicket

The Indian top order however will feel much happier

Update from BCCI on Shami: "Mohammed Shami had a mild headache. He went back to the dressing room for some treatment. He is fit and fine now."

182/2 in 2 sessions.

SA hold the advantage as the bowlers are not able to break the partnership early in innings. Just one wicket per session is not what bowling team wants.

Big session now

India get 3 wickets they've had a good day

If de villiers gets going against tired bowlers could be plenty of runs

I would say we will need at least 6 wickets today. Anything less than that is going to be trouble.

50 for Amla. Got a life when Parthiv dropped him on 30. Converted it into a 52*.

Notable aspect of his batting that i notice this test has been that he is no more making the first rigger movement to move to the off stumps is less frequent and whenever it is it is not as prominent as it was before.

was a tough chance to be fair

the key mistake was probably Shami - he seems to start very slowly in games ... maybe he needs to warm up before the first session rather than treat the first session as a warm up!

Shami's pace has dropped since his comeback from injury. Also his rhythm in run up looks affected. Shami in full fitness is rare to see and when he is fully fit he is one of the best pacers we have.
