suspect the old ball will decide the series since I think both team will take wickets with the new ball but the team that can take wickets with the old ball will edge it.
actually don't think there is much between both team on paper really.

That might be where the extra pace of rabada and morkel comes in to play

yeah that makes a huge difference.
think they picked bumrah because of the old ball and wanting something different when the ball goes.
that is where England and india suffer a bit with having the Dukes and the SG ball that stay harder for long and swings throughout the day.
generally the bowlers don't need to be quick to take wickets in the middle and express pace isn't the main reason to take wickets in the middle overs.

4-fer for Bhuvi. Remarkable ER though, over 5.

But buying wickets cheaply.

With QDK getting out for 43, have to conclude his counter attack didn't come off.
I always say that everybody's right.

TBH if you take out his first 4 overs, reckon bhuvi going at 10 or 12 lol.
suspect india fans and kohli don't give a *modded* what runs bhuvi going for if he takes wickets in regular intervals.

Bhuvi been a bit slow today as well.
unless he been slowing down to get control and accuracy today which probably explains his high economy rate since he really needs to be quicker to be more effective in the middle overs.
I would probably give a spell to shami at the moment and see if he can put his pace up.

Quinton de Kock out for a run a ball 43.

Another batsman playing limited overs cricket.

TBH the quick outfield makes it so much easier to have an high strike rate here.
any stroke that beats the field gets 4 here.
what been disappointing is that SA batsman haven't been showing good temperament they looked like they needed to scores runs or they be getting out far too many of them didn't trust their defence today.
