3rd Test will be massive for the indian batsman though, if they fail there the pressure will be huge on them when they arrive on england.
considering the indian media, indian fans and the indian players place most of their importance on away performances if they fail in the 3rd test the players would probably be reminded that they failed till the england test starts.
be interesting if the players could handle the pressure at the moment not sure they can, even kohli couldn't handle it in the 2014 series.

Also in the scheme of things losing 2-1 wouldn't be a bad result, on the other hand 3-0 would be a pretty poor result and it would add so much pressure on india when they play england considering if they lose the first test in england, then the talk about losing 12-0 will start and it could easily happen considering it is pretty tough to get out of a losing rut or the batsman to get into form in away series.

India could get whitewashed in Australia. Won't happen in England. Probably won't happen in Australia, but its conceivable. India are the world number one side, they haven't become walkovers just because of a couple of ill prepared Tests in SA.

Our chances of winning something in England is relatively higher than winning something in SA. Off course this tour will have done the job of a very good warmup for England series. Players will be slightly more well prepared. Also Shastri and Virat by no means make the blunder of not playing practice match in England. England tour will be relatively better, i am damn sure about it. But by no means I am saying we will win series there. Probably a better conclusion can be drawn once the series nears and the availability of players are confirmed.

There's always a partnership. Forgot to say it.

Very good series win for SA with a few reasons for optimism.

Might be changes for India before the next game.

Very disappointing from India in the end. I thought they would have made a better fist of the chase, but good bowling and variable bounce did them in.

Part 1 of India's three part mission to show they can win outside the subcontinent ends in failure, although there's still a lot of pride to play for in Jo'Burg. But it continues to show how ridiculous tour scheduling is these days, with limited practice time - it doesn't do the cricket any favours.

India should have a better time in England if they prepare well. They should also fare better with the bat than England on the Australian wickets, but if the Australian pacers keep fit, they will be too much for India too I reckon.

Indeed. I didn't get to see as much as I'd have liked of this match but what I saw of this young fellow was ...impressive. SA just keep turning them out.

Somehow doubt we will see much more of Steyn . But the next generation are looking good.
