But there is bounce.

Bhuvi was second highest wicket taker from both teams. Also only ABD (134) played more balls than Bhuvi (127).

TBH Kohli probably the worst captain I seen, he really believes in cricket stereotypes and not really sure he understands the game of cricket.
Even at home he makes a lot of shocking decisions.
Some of his favourites stereotypes are left and right openers are needed, spinners can’t spin towards the batsman.
To
Suspect bhuvi not playing this test because they probably didn’t expect bumrah to bowl well in the first game and really no pace man in the first test bowled badly so someone had to be unlucky to be dropped for ishant and ishant had to play this test considering condition and his form means he will be a handful here.
Bumrah also edges it on his height and pace so then it becomes a shoot out between bhuvi and Shami.

That would be Bhuvi

Shami bowling the same as 1st innings of first test - no pace and no intensity. Bowling in the low 130s. It was him who failed to back Bhuvi up on the 1st morning of the 1st test otherwise SA would have been in big trouble

Yeah shami is too inconsisent and his skiddy pace is very easy to hit outside Asia.
He looks a typical Asian fast bowler that is far better in Asian conditions than non Asian conditions.
He bowls too straight so can be worked through the leg side for runs, unlikely to get reverse swing either and is quite inaccurate as well.
Big call to pick him for bhuvi considering he was one of the top players of the last test from both teams.

Suspect shami got the call for his 2nd innings spell where bumrah and shami brought India back in it.
TBH india fans should weirdly be happy that someone with bhuvi or shami skills cant even get in the team.

Nice ishant still getting good wrist position, the way ishant is bowling lately, ishant should be the first man in the bowling attack and then you pick the other two.
Which would probably be bhuvi and bumrah with shami missing out.

Pappu did not collect any balls upto chest height or head height in that Ishant over. I thought Ishant was picked because of extra bounce. And Pappu is as short as Saha :lmaoagain

I recall (I think) Bhuvi being India's best bowler in the TB Test of 2014, one of the slowest, flattest pitches imaginable.

Logic does not works with Shastri and Virat as think tank. I don't know on what basis these decisions are being taken.

The wicket does not has bounce at all. There is hardly anything that we see like a South African bouncy wicket of the past. And if there is any Ishant has failed to exploit the bounce as Virat wished.

Took a 5fer in the first innings on that game.
Shami not bowling well probably going to be underpressure next game considering Kohli getting caned by everyone for dropping bhuvi.

Let’s be clear picking ishant isn’t a bad decision especially when you consider at the moment he been the most threatening in this innings.
Adi from my count, ishant got 3-4 balls to bounce more than expected and is troubling Elgar at the moment so I have to wonder which game you are watching.

What the bad decision is that they dropped the wrong man for ishant.

Even the bouncers are not being bowled by Indian bowlers, something which they realized in second innings of the first test as per Jasprit Bumrahs comments. Most balls are normal height apart from the odd one. If the wicket is bouncy then why are there not even a decent number of bouncers being bowled.

Bumrah's been promoted to the new ball pretty quickly.
