Cook seems to be having problems against offspin.

Robbed of the tradition of resenting biased home umpires TMS are taking it in turns to lament the functionality of ball tracking.

Cook's a monster against spin. Just not against Lyon.

Didn't have a great tour of India last time though. Only got out to pace once. Three times to Ashwin, six to Jadeja. Three times lbw to Jadeja.

Both openers gone now. Get rid of Root, then we'll be into the bunnies!

Away from home, Ashwin has dismissed Cook more than anyone. Never lbw though. Mostly caught by the keeper.

H&A it's Morkel and Mitch1, so left arm pace.

Two down for one run. Hope just left town.

Wickets for Starc and Lyon, the Aussies' two top wicket takers in the series.

Lyon is unexpectedly proving to be the difference between the two sides. England just can't get him away, so the pressure never lets up. OK, it helps that Australia have a 300 run cushion to play with, but if someone got in and started scoring freely, you could put the pressure back on the bowlers. I guess that's why they keep getting out trying to attack - they're trying to impose themselves on the game. Unfortunately, the bowling's just been too good so far.

Story of the series so far - England batsmen getting starts and failing to go on. 12 scores of over 25, but only 4 of those have made 50, and of those, 3 have got out just after reaching 50. Batting's not impossible, people are getting in, but just losing concentration or falling to the relentless pressure from the Aussie bowling.

It's only going to take one decent partnership, one individual going on to get 100, and there could be some real pressure on Australia and the score could look gettable. That's what's so frustrating when it doesn't happen.

Critical session coming up one feels - England need to scrap it out and keep as many wickets intact as possible. Good comeback from Anderson and Woakes.

PS to Sussex. A banker? Wrong on so many levels - but a mistake often made.

Those 2 wickets have ensured Aussies keep control on this match.

Wasn't expecting too much from the top three. Game on now.

Eng have to hope that's a massive moment. They were in real trouble if Root had been out

Sounds like all 3 were fairly predictable dismissals which is disappointing.
