Sounds like Vince got a snorting delivery this time, instead of giving his wicket away.

Bairstow and Malan the last hope for the series!

Vince goes. Two fifties in the series. One more than Michael Carberry.

Still, M3 got 181 on this.

Was it Lyon who said he wanted to end of few England careers in this series?

Cook and Broad look close to the end of theirs!

Cook will get to choose. I wonder if Broad will be left out before Sydney? He may come back at home though.

Sussex is spot on about scoreboard pressure- either failing to create it or suffering from it. 4 down for 130 in both innings on a pitch where the opponents score over 600.

It looks like Stoneman v Bancroft is the only query for team of the series. The rest are all Aussies.

Bad day for England. Bowlers allowed Aussies to get into partnership and pile on mammoth score. Then batters flopped as well.

We need about two more hours of play to wrap this up, I feel. The forecast is for more rain. Another 6 for 35 would do just nicely. The urn is coming home, bit I'll be honest, I want a white wash. A whitewash in the Ashes is such a beautiful thing. It helps to ease the pain of the 2005 defeat, the scars from which may never fully heal.

Probably 2010-11 was worse for Australia, losing at home? Though 2005 was more unexpected.
