Pretty disappointing capitulation, but I doubt this time the bowlers can claim to have been let down by the batters as Anderson has been lamenting. The bowling was just as poor.

I think Overton will probably miss Boxing day, anyway. This may be making Broad breathe a little easier.

I would like to think that both Cook and Broad deserve another chance to prove they're worth selection still. It would be callous to cut either or both of them, atm, imo.

Yes, I also feel that Overton will be dropped unless Jimmy or Broad gets injured.

Overton's not being dropped, but injured.

The capitulation comes again. What is it with this team and batting time?

I think I've had it with this series.

My disinterest at the start of this series is matched by the England team in their appetite for a fight.

5-0 has to be massively odds on.

Well done to the Aussies. That's going to be a memorable attacking foursome looking back.

England don't have a reserve opener in the squad, unless we consider the Lions as part of the touring party. Which was always odd. But I'm sure Cook will play at the MCG. Not so certain about Broad and Mo, and probably Woakes. No point bringing in ZBGB. The squad doesn't really offer anywhere to go. Ball or Crane? Curran comes in for the injured Overton. I think I'd keep the other ten, not because they deserve it, but because the alternatives are worse.

It is very superb show by Aussie bowlers. There 4 bowlers attack has easily outperformed England's 5 bowlers attack apart from 3rd test where OZ had MM. Their efficiency is unmatched.
