Banga are limiting Zimbabwe to an almost Test style run rate of 2.7 after 20 overs.

Five wickets down too. Unusually, half of the overs by the pace bowlers.

A very welcome win for Bangla bros after what all happened during the tour of South Africa. They had lost the test series 0-2, ODI series 0-3 and T20 by 0-2.
Chandika Hathurunsingha had resigned in October mid-way during Bangladesh tour of South Africa. He took over as coach in 2014. Actually he was in contract with BCB until WC 2019. He then became the head coach of Sri Lanka. He has demanded for a free hand in decisions. Interviews are going on for head coach. Meanwhile assistant coach Richard Halsall will look after coaching. Shakib, Mashrafe and team manager Khalid Mahmud who is current Team manager (will be responsible till head coach is appointed. Khaled Mahmud has represented Bangladesh at international level, so he can coach the team a bit as well. So Bangla bros will be without permanent head coach for SL series as well.

Mashrafe has suffered so many injuries in career that he has dropped pace considerably. The fastest he bowls is 134 kph now. He somewhat compensates for the lack of pace by having the ability to seam it both ways. Usually he operates between 123 to 127 kph. Fizz too operates in the same range. Rubel is not a good backup bowler. What the new coach should probably look is scout for a new pacer who will bowl at higher speeds, just to add variety to the pace attack as well as be able to exploit the conditions that are available in some countries. Taskin Ahmed had a very poor tour of South Africa and was rightly dropped. The pace attack pool needs to be expanded for sure. Too risky to depend on injury prone pacer like Mashrafe. Even Fizz has been injured couple of times iirc.

Indian SLA spinner Sunil Joshi is the spin coach. Sunzamul and Shakib are lefties. So he will be very helpful to them in particular as they both are lefties as well. Courtney Walsh their pace bowling coach also has tremendous experience and knowledge to coach their pace attack.

Anamul Haque was a welcome addition. He and Sabbir Raham are two good fielder for their team. Anamul was brilliant when he made debut couple of years back. He can mantain the tempo of ODI and is handy at point or slip. Sabbir’s problem off late is his discipline and conduct. He recently had fight with some cricket fans and got warned from BCB. He has also had such disciplinary issue sin past. But these are two batsmen which Bangladesh will need.

The next assignment for them is 2 tests and 2 T20 at home versus SL.

I was thinking that too. Zim can't be far ahead, if at all, of Afghanistan. Then you have WI in the mix as well.

Cracking little series this...even Zim having their moment beating SL, Bangladesh should go onto win the series, and SL could well finish bottom of the pile..
