Wins for india, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri lanka.
Funny enough an Aussie commenter is at the ground.
Make Aussie decision even more pathetic.

Avesh Khan looks very good and the best bit out of him is the movement he get out of the deck + the bounce never actually seen any indian under 19 bowler ever do that.

Generally india under 19 bowlers have Swing and generally more accurate than their counterpart one reason they always do well even if the bowlers turn out to be *modded*.
the india under 19 world cup win in Australia is a good example.
the bowling attack turned out to be the best even if none of the bowlers barring Sandeep Sharma were any great for the future.
England had the best bowling attack on paper that year but didn't actually finish that well in that competition as Topley, Overton were all raw and not consistent enough.

This tournament shows that South Africa don't have much in terms of depth after the likes of Amla and deVilliers step down....

Of course, some aspects of media will try to find a way of blaming this on the so-called quota system too.

TBH the squad wasn't that great to pick from.
Wouldn't read much into to it since the available squad to pick from is tiny and South Africa did have some good players in the last 2 under 19 squads.
SA could easily have a good squad in the next under 19 world cup.

Had a feeling SA were gonna do *modded* anyway heard some people moaning about the squad last month saying so many poor quality cricketer in it but the squad was the best one they could have picked.

Feel that Bob Carter's affiliation with the New Zealand Under 19s may come to an end after this tournament.
"It has been said of the unseen army of the dead, on their everlasting march, that when they are passing a rural cricket ground the Englishman falls out of the ranks for a moment to look over the gate and smile."

West Indies go through by virtue of a mankad. Looking at the picture, the Zimbabwe batter was barely out the crease, so not backing up excessively. Bound to lead to bad feeling.

Great quote from the WI skipper- it's not in the spirit of the game but we're just happy to win!

Not great, but I take it there had been a warning previously?

Fair enough to carry out the run out even though the batsman was barely out of his crease, but the wild celebrations afterwards made the episode a bit tasteless.

No warning. I thought the mankading of Buttler was fair enough, he' been warned and was a long way out many times. Not so sure about this. Given the general tolerance towards the transgression, quite probably WI won because Zimbabwe didn't mankad when they could have done. It'd be more honest, given the convention, to tell the opposition at the start of the game what your intentions are.
