Ironic, Chapelli saying that Australians sledge too much.

How did it all start, Ian?

Maybe quilty conscience affecting him now.

Also don’t think the sledging the same now, at the moment the sledging feels like bullying and not something you do In the heat of the battle.
In the past I got the impression the sledging was more that you are so *modded* that you can’t hit the ball or the sledging was more cricket related now I feel that sledging is done to make the batsman lose concentration and a lot of the time that is done by saying personal things or swearing the hell at him.

Now the issue is that teams have a different line to what is personal and not.

Although saying that it seems at the moment only India and Australia are serial sledges and barring them the other teams look ok in that front.
England have generally lost their sledgers and the new ones don’t seem to be the aggressive sledging types and the other teams don’t really do it.
Hopefully Australia and India don’t make other teams feel like they need to sledge to get into the contest.

The next india vs Australia series should be fun considering both teams push the line and will sledge an insane amount and with Kohli essentially swearing at all the sisters of the other teams,

England have Root, Stokes, Anderson and Broad in their sledging party. Not sure they do it as a team that much. Woakes, Mo and Cook for example don't seem to say much.

Shameless behaviour on cricket field. Somehow it is accepted in football and cricket. ICC is spineless, the teams management accpets all this crap. Why don't the team management drop such idiots rather than wait for players to accumulate required demerit points.

Don't think they talk like this in Wimbledon or table tennis or chess etc. Much better sportsmen in some other sports.

I grew up watching John Mac at tennis. He would shame all cricketers.

Don't watch tennis neither do i understand that game, but never read bad sportsmanship news about that game. So maybe i am not aware it is also like cricket in aspect of sportsmanship.

But i imagine two chess players playing, one player is thinking which move to play and opponent starts to give bad words to him like cricketers to distract him. :laugh or similar to this in table tennis or other sports which are actually played by gentlemen attitude.

2-10 for Big Vern at less than a run and over.

Aussies unchanged.

Wee Davey misses a straight one and now three down. No report on Cricinfo as to whether he received a send-off as he trudged to the pavilion.

Smith out now. Just the Marshes standing between SA and first day supremacy. Smith burns a review as he goes.

Rabada has broken the game open. Has three including two Marshes. 170-6 but Cricinfo is saying it's a pitch for the bowlers.
