Random point I know but good to see two young openers making their way in bancroft and Markram scoring runs again, both having decent series!

Change of bowling, Cummins into the attack

Rabada incident, then the Warner - Quinton verbal fight and now ball tampering. So much controversies in one series. And it's just the third test match. What else is yet to come. :facepalm

Graeme Smith slams Aussie team

“We accept it all around the world, but as soon as they cross the line and they talk about players’ families the whole time and getting abused like that, it’s just not on. There’s been various incidents throughout the Test series but this one has taken the cake,” he went on to add.

In reply, Mark Boucher and Graeme Smith have slammed the actions of the spectators but not before adding the Australian cricketers and fans can be equally berating towards a visiting team. Boucher said on Twitter, “Correct Darren! Fully agree! But… start cleaning up in your own country first! The personal, racial abuse I’ve witnessed in Aus was ridiculous. U guys don’t live in a glass house! Why the fuss all of a sudden? Seems fine when the shoe is on the other foot!”.

I do remember the Racial abuse that the SA players received in Perth. From memory it was in Afrikaners and at the time the stewards had no idea what was being said. A lot of SA expats in Perth and the SA players complained about what was being said to them. I presumed the SA players knew that Australians don't speak Afrikaners?

My interest in the series has been overtaken by controversy.

If I recall correctly those south African émigrés were calling makhaya ntini and Ashwell prince "kaffirs" and they called Shaun pollock and Justin kemp "kaffir boeties ".

Really disgusting behaviour by those refugees from apartheid.

Whilst my interest in the outcome of this test has been diminished greatly, I do see that teh new ball becomes available after the current over.

Ironic.

Maybe Aussie players playing in apartheid era rebel tours? That feels to me the most shameful episode in English cricket in my lifetime (also thinking D'Oliveira Affair before my time).

Now de Kock gets his 50....
:clap
Try to get to 350 then declare? Or bat to tea and declare?

Yes, to me those rebel tours to apartheid South africa were always the lowest moments I remember....

The ‘underarm’ incident in 1981 is another pretty nasty scandal. :Eng:

Personally I think removal from leadership position and three demerit points is enough.
:hide
Rabada hit a succession of boundaries and then out to lyon for 20. The lead passes 400.

Maharaj out for five trying to push the pace. Nine down.

Philander gets his half century!
:clap
