Another collapse from SA, but i'd say they're infront after day1, good fightback from the aussies, getting used to Cummins leading the way these days!

Both openers failing on comeback...SA heading for innings victory? Feels like OZ won't put up much of a fight here..

The Aussie replacement three fail, but that's perhaps unsurprising given that two of them got off the plane two days ago.

Apart from the impressive Cummins, Australia predictably enough don't seem to have the stomach for a fight. I can't remember the last time Australia didn't make a follow on target. Not that South Africa will enforce it: 2-1 up in the series with 3 days to go, bat again and make it impossible for Australia to win.

Hope Renshaw is not judged on this. Could be one for the future and shouldn't be parachuted into a side and then airlifted out if failing.

I think that he will be given an extended run. Circumstances and all. As well as that, he has had a good Shield season.

Before going into this test, I considered that anything less than a resounding loss was as good as a win for Aus.

Reaching the follow-on target is the first step in this.

I figured out how to make statsguru give me the answer:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine ... ew=innings

The last time the Aussies fell short of the follow-on target was Abu Dhabi 2014. They've only been in that position six times since 2000. And in an interesting commentary on how the follow-on has fallen out of favour in the modern game, on only one of those six occasions have Australia actually been asked to bat again. The last time (and only time since 2000) that Australia have followed on? The 2005 classic at Trent Bridge.
