Starc managed to get Aus up to 300 before going on the stroke of lunch, like Warner yesterday.

I saw 300 as a decent achievement, so anymore after lunch is a bonus, in my eyes.

I think the SA/India series had just the one century (to Kohli) scored. Is this series going to be another one of decent starts, but no great scores?

Unusual for both Warner and Smith to get a 50 and neither of them to go on to 3 figures.

Never seen so many people on the ground during match break. Probably the only ground where they allow spectators to have a feel of the ground apart from the wicket.

Not the toughest of wicket, however the attack of Rabada, Philly, Morkel and Maharaj is good. Mitchell Marsh has looked more technically solid that Peter Handscomb. just 13 away from a ton.

Out on 96, trying to hit Philly over the infielder for 4. Played well and took Aussies scorecard to a respectable total when wickets were falling at regular intervals.

Lyon gets two in his first over - including Amla.

Nice, Garry.

Fair credit the Mitch Marsh. He has had his detractors, me being one of them, but he stood up in that innings.

Lyon showing how important he is to Australia. SA 3 down, and i would think in a little bit of trouble.

Big raps (I think Aussies say that?) to Mitch3 for that 96. Very important knock.

Is Lyon Australias best bowler? Gets another important break through.

150 run lead here would be very handy.

Can AB save SA
