Finn's injured i believe, hence why not on tour? Plunket also better option, but again he's injured too

Not sure historical stats work as a reason to include Finn. He's not the bowler that he promised to be and briefly was.

Though he has been around the England Test squad this winter.

Do you see Wood playing in the Tests in NZ?

He's probably in the first choice ODI XI, but he's not in the first choice Test side. There's a query over his ability to play Test cricket (not helped by his recent fc performances). It's a bit surprising he's in the Test squad in NZ. There are six pace bowlers in NZ and it's quite possible they'll play five so he must have a chance of selection.

How often do we play 5 fast bowlers and a spinner?

Finn must have heard you doubting him ... his first over goes for 18.

Never! But it could happen. I remember Mike Selvey suggesting it. And they are in NZ, land of the long white cloud...

And they did pick four in Mumbai, which must be a record for India.

Tom Curran now firmly ahead of David Willey in people's eyes in the ODI side? I still think Willey has a lot to offer the side, but the selectors seem to like curran a lot

Willey has a good ODI record with a great SR. Partly because he doesn't bowl at the end. I wonder if he's been written off as an older ball bowler a bit readily. Anyway, he could still be bowled more at the start of the innings given there are three other seamers.

Roscoe is a doubt for the limited overs decider in Christchurch tonight.

Hasn't made it. England on top now on a ground cricinfo says is large for NZ. Three for Rashid and one for Mo. Nicholls and Santner repairing things a bit (from 93-6) so NZ may still set a reasonable target. Curran not had a bowl yet. ?injured.

Not too injured because he took the last catch.

Looks like about 220 if the Kiwis bat all fifty.

Good call AC.

Could have been utter disaster for the Kiwis, but the in-form Santner gets them up to something that is at least theoretically defensible. You'd have to favour England at this stage, but the way this series has gone, I expect the chase to be anything but straightforward. Low totals have been defended and bit ones not...
