Seems that the late summer Tests are always wet in NZ.

At least there was a little play today. Given the forecast, maybe NZ should declare now.

Looks like no play today. But the forecast for tomorrow has improved.

England are so far behind that two days is plenty of time for New Zealand to win. No need to declare, even. Backs to the wall, England are going to have to bat big in the second innings to save this one. Unfortunately, every time we've said that for at least the last five years, there's only been one outcome. In fact, Eden Park 2013 is probably the last time England genuinely saved a game in the second innings.

Thank god for the bad weather! I know he's not to fully blame, but i really don't agree with Stokes being selected purely as a batsman, i would much rather see Livingstone selected if Stokes isn't gonna bowl...

Broad gets Watling - needed for England, but still much to do.

England will need to bat at least 4 sessions to save this test. Probably more.

Our bowling is so one dimensional

We have 4 right arm seamers that bowl 130kph

Overton just seems to be a worse version of woakes, I see no future for him at all in an England shirt

The team is a bit of a shambles at the moment, have massive issues in both the bowling and batting and there doesn't seem to be anyone pushing to get in the team

Our test side is at the lowest ebb for a long time

Even root and Jimmy can't paper over the cracks anymore

Maybe the most one sided England game since SA at the Oval in 2012?

Maybe they need a new coach who has been operating in the CC and has a vision of a different side. Maybe Gillespie would fancy the challenge.
