Back out after tea. Surely Broad will take the new ball off Wood.

Suggestion on Guardian obo that NZ-Tim might not be fit to bat.

Even if he is, he only knows the one way to bat - hit every ball to/over the boundary. Not likely to last many overs with that approach.

Wagner and Sodhi going in before Southee suggests that he might not, so England only have two to get.

Looks as if it will be two too many. Credit to NZ for some sterling resistance. England are going to run out of time, it seems.

Still 84-odd balls, Fluffy. This morning proved that only 2 balls are required.

84 balls in theory. I'm not sure they'll actually get to deliver them given the light situation.

Wagner's eaten up 52 deliveries somehow. It's not over until it's over, but I don't like our chances from here.

This is poor. Endless short stuff. Where are the yorkers? Full and straight on the stumps, for at least some of the deliveries :facepalm

This will be the 10th away test in a row that England have failed to take 20 wickets. After 4 fell in the first hour, they've managed 3 in the next 5.

3 balls to go and a wicket falls.

Hattrick?

So close. 8 down, but game over. Well done New Zealand, especially Latham, Colin & Sodhi. Showing England how batting for a draw is done. Learn, fellows.

England's winless overseas run stretches to 13 games, their worst ever. Surely Bayliss has to go, and there are plenty of players in danger too.

Fine effort from NZ. After they suffered a close draw when Prior and Monty were in at the end on England's last tour. Well done to them on the series win.

Time's up for Bayliss, but surely he stays as ODI coach.

Half the team can't be certain of selection in the next Test and most of the rest of the squad may be overlooked to replace them.

of course they can. Everybody can... except England, of course

I have no doubt that the NZ batsmen came to the crease determined to express themselves from the outset

Ironic isnt it. Vince makes a score finally, then drops Latham at third slip, who goes on to bat for 5 hours to save the test.
