Well, he went for six an over.

137-143kph. Doesn't seem to be moving it much reading cricinfo commentary. Looks like he's a bit short.

Five minutes to lunch.

Leach gets an over before lunch. Bet he gets a wicket.

they were never going to play him. Only England batsmen are daft enough to do that

Lunch. Time for SB to recharge his batteries. Might be one of 'those' matches if he can find a way to get through Williamson early doors

Well done Broad and Bairstow. The NZ innings is shaping up like England's - top order collapse then lower order fightback.

England in the driving seat with the late breakthrough and the new ball due shortly tomorrow morning. Given that and the fact that NZ have to bat last, they're probably slight favourites from here, but it's pretty evenly poised IMO.

His pace is a myth

He normally bowls mid to high 80s

Has had the occasional spell that was quicker in white ball cricket

But he seems to get 5mph faster everytime our batsmen struggle against genuine quick bowling in the eyes of many people, his record in international cricket is pretty terrible

Good fightback from CDH and Watling...typical that only Broad and Anderson get wickets.....Leach bowled tidily enough

Depends who scores runs in the County Championship.

Hameed has scored a pre-season century for Lancashire and if he does well early, he'll be straight in the side.

Gubbins is being watched too, but got injured in the North vs South series and I believe is missing the first chunk of games.

Jennings remains highly thought of.

I thought Gubbins had a terrible season last year. Still in the Lions side though.

Anderson strikes with the new ball. Big wicket of Watling.

England should be hoping for a lead here now, but the NZ tail could certainly close the gap if they come out swinging, as Southee already has done.

5-fer for Broad, and for the third day in a row, the new ball and first session is conducive to wickets.
