They were at 7-4.

At least not as bad as England in Joburg in 99.

Poynter's hit 150* for Durham today, you feel Ireland could use him in Dublin.

Ireland following on. Must be fairly demoralised. It'd be a good effort for them to make Pakistan bat again.

Agree. Shame for them really. Showing a little promise here but looking at the cricinfo text there have been lots of edges and a couple of drops already.

On another note, I've just noticed the very high average age for this Ireland side too - must be a worry. Balbirney, Thompson, Stirling and Kane the only ones under 30, with only Kane under 25. Must be a concern. Given the limited nature of domestic cricket there, it is hard to say what prospects they have coming though. Probably better off scouring county cricket and the Aussie domestic circuit for players with Irish grandads....

Wish I'd gone.

Ireland make it to day four.

If the thinkers and dreamers of the modern game got their way, that would give them ninety overs to outlast to leave Dublin with a draw. As it is, they'll lose. But there has been some resistance. Shouldn't be playing away from home yet though.
