Judging on a whatsapp group I am part of, a friend going to london was told to bring an umbrella with her for the weekend.....so I guess its raining.

England need more from their 2 best bowlers here. Anderson seems to be bowling a different length that was used successfully by the Pakistan bowlers.

Poor bowling again from these 2.

Trying to hard?

Someone needs to tell these Pakistan batsman that all of this wearing down the bowlers, waiting for the ball to go soft, and keeping wickets in hand to setup for a big score this afternoon may be all well and good, but pan the camera to the exits, the women and children are flooding out.

Wood took his 1 wicket an innings. May as well haul him off now :lmao

Wood's 29th wicket in 12 games takes out Sohail. Asad and Azhar together so Pakistan's two most experienced bats. A big wicket for England. Break these two soon and it's game on.

Specialist pace bowlers who have a worse bowling average than Wood who have played ten or more games.

Paul Allott

(David Capel too but he was a bit of an all rounder).

I think it was Strauss this week who highlighted the need for long term thinking, and singled out that Woakes hasnt played well away so far. Hence I guess Wood is playing.

Is long term thinking therefore picking people who are injured for 4 winters in a row? And who as yet have struggled to perform at home.

Only listed away match Wood took 2/134 btw.

Bess comes on for an over, maybe should have had a wicket. Stokes pre-mediated the move at slip, and ends up moving from the spot the ball bounces. Encouraging start from Bess.

Pakistan look keen to take Bess on, but so far all three attempts have lead to half chances. And just as I say, Anderson is on

Dam it, lost my stream for the game. Only couple of overs i have seen of bess. Big ask for him at 20 years of age.

Has some impressive first class stats. High hopes for him or desperation from England?
