Woakes is already the fourth highest wicket taker at home v Pakistan with 28 in his fifth game, two behind Broad who is in his tenth. Botham leads with 38 in 13.

That was the morning England needed. Another dodgy decision to bat first.

Not sure what Curran is doing there. England's batting line-up can hardly buy a run, they lose a genuine all-rounder and have four spare bowlers, so they pick a bowler who can't buy a run. :d'oh:

Anderson having a rare off day.

I didn't mean earlier that he should be immune from criticism, nobody is so good they can't do things better. But his record speaks for itself over the last few years. He's been consistently world class, and he was our best bowler at Lord's. If all the England bowlers recorded figures like his, it would have been a much closer game. And he was bowling at a total of 180, then 50 to win.

So I can understand him being a bit narked off when criticised for that game, that's all.

England might get a first innings lead here.

Really happy to see us dominating here, but pisses me off so much that this side always plays well after a rollicking! Why can't they do this all the time!

Surely much better to be batting this afternoon for England. Probably going to have 40 overs to bat. Going to be easier than what Pakistan had this morning.

Last 3 batsman have doubled Pakistans score.

England really like giving tailenders batting practice.

The little i have seen of Curran so far suggest to me he wont be much help when England have to go play in unfavorable conditions. He is not the answer to England problems unless he can bat.

He's twenty on Wednesday, and there's his first Test wicket. Well done Sam. Or Tom. Or whoever.

I've always seen him as more of a one day player but he's still got time to develop.
