Kuldeep 3 wickets in 3 overs - looks a different game at the moment.

India seem almost certainties for next year's world cup to me

No one told India that the boundaries are too small to play spinners.

Unless England can negotiate Kuldeep, this is going to be a one sided series. Merlin hasn't helped.

Cricinfo had an article about how well England had been doing in ODIs against wrist spin. Might need to be rewritten.

Well that was chastening.

England haven't become a bad side overnight, but they need to find a way to combat Kuldeep, and quickly. Otherwise any idea of winning the WC next year can be banished to the dustbin of overoptimism.

All going to come down to winning two, three at the most, key games after a month of knock-about stuff.

Would currently have Ind and Eng as favourites to make the semis, with Aus if they have a full squad. I'd then add NZ if it's a wet summer or Pak If it's dry.

I think Australia will have a bad WC next year.

Might have been an idea for India to keep one or two weapons secret until next year.

England unchanged. Some phony war going on while the Indian quicks have a bowl and Kuldeep does some fielding.

Chance for Root to make a big statement here that he's the player for adversity, if not so much the big scoring innings. Still going along at 90 though.

Important fifty from Root. Sort of situation they needed his innings ...ok not going at 130 but they're building : and Buttler to come ...

I hear the " pick all the hitters " argument. But I don't buy it. Root is still in my ODI team. Though I don't mind if he gives the t20 a miss.

Skipper rather gave it away there...

Thought that was going into the crowd. Stokes in now ? I'd have thought it was ideal Buttler time but we will see. Good partnership anyway , and 189 after 31 is a fair platform.
