If you put the opposition in, the old cliche goes that two wickets is an absolute minimum, so not a bad morning for India.

It can change quickly after lunch, but India fans might have feared a similar outcome to the Aussies here in the last Ashes.

What was that Pujara, for that alone he should be dropped.

Very annoying wickets since that ruin a good a session for india.

Now it makes india vulnerable to posting a below par total of around 200 now even less if the other batsman fail.

IMHO pujara really needs to look at his game, he very overrated and underrated at the same time.
very frustrating player.

Pujara is what Nasser calls a dopey player always does something stupid in every game either poor fielding, poor running or poor batting no wonder he gets dropped all the time.
You really can't rely on a player to get a slow 20 and 30s in tough conditions.

Need Rahane to stand up now.

Oh-oh. That swings the morning to England. Not an expected shot on the stroke of lunch.

Woakes is England's second highest run scorer and wicket taker despite missing the first Test. His SR is under 20.

India got to 60 ok and would have been looking good for good first session. Woakes again has had a huge impact.

interesting part is that Twitter thinks 220-230 is par although I think that is low and it should be around 300.
but with dukes ball and it seems like this year batch is swinging quite a bit anyway they could be right.
Hopefully Rahane and kohli get a big score now so they can shut people up as well.
All down to these two to win the game for india now.

Yep would play someone younger and new ahead of pujara now he had far too many chances to make a name of himself for india and he really should be doing more for india overseas and in tough conditions.

Would like gill to get a shot in the side, look a very fine player and pick up length very quickly.

Shaw looks good but he does look questionable with his technique and would probably struggle with world class bowlers especially in moving conditions but shaw got the Mumbai lobby behind him so might get a chance ahead of Gill.

They should try some of the Talented youngster from the recent under 19 team not often you have 4 or 5 special players in one Under 19 cycle.

Also people need to stop making excuses for pujara failings as well.

Gavaskar being an idiot at Sony studio at trent bridge for blaming other people for pujara shot.

About time pujara admits his own faults and not looking at others for his failings.

If india lose this test match because of the batting, I hope pujara never plays again for india, shocking dismissal makes it worse his fan boys are defending him again for his failings.

Hopefully Rahane stands up here.
Struggles with Broad and Stokes so it could be tough little session for him here.
this stand could be a difference between a loss and win for india.
Come on india lets do this.

Yep, it was starting to look like India were in danger of making a decent start for once!

England's session again. I am a che fan but that wasn't a great shot. Still think it was a mistake to drop him for the first test but he's under pressure again now - he is better when he tries to be positive but that was just a bad shot, could have put it anywhere and he just picked out the fielder

Pujara averages 50 in test cricket a lot of that away from home, and Indian fans treat him with such disdain, its laughable!
