Once. 1936-37 Ashes in Australia, where a Don Bradman led Australia fought back from 2-0 down to beat England 3-0.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/ ... 60330.html

Bradman scored 270, 212 and 169 in Australia's three wins...

Great catch by Cook on day one.

Dreadful shot by Stokes to get out on day 2.

Wondering about all the catches being dropped. Remember when it was suggested that A&B (and Swann) created a hostile environment in the dressing room when catches went down off them? Well, surely they have never had more spilled than in this series. I wonder if the reaction is the same.

It was in Bangladesh that Prior told the fielders to apologise to the bowlers. Anderson wasn't on that tour. The bowlers were Broad, Bresnan, Finn and Swann.

15 drops in this series so far. 18 when we were in India last time.

I've been struck by the plethora of media/press reports and interviews of the magnificent, defiant, remarkable, totally against the grain, stand from Stokes and Buttler

They all serve to remind me of Churchill and Dunkirk.... the art of turning ignominious defeat into something akin to a great victory

Ryan Sidebottom was the worst. Also remember Ajmal Shahzad complaining about the bowlers having a go after he wasn't selected any more. He was really bad himself.

If Vince plays can you imagine the slips. Cook, Vince, Jennings. Vince has had 7 drops there. Bowlers will just have to get lbws, bowled or caught behind.

and all forget to mention that Buttler nicked off about 10 times en route

If Vince was like Ramps and looked a good bat, then I'd understand the recall more. But Vince always looks out of his depth.

Vince is nowhere near as prolific as Ramps was in the long form of the county game so can't really compare the two.

As far as I'm concerned he had a good game at the wrong time, especially with the Rosebowl being the next test venue.

Got to endure more criticism from all and sundry, when we know perfectly well the test arena is not for him.

If the ODI side wasn't so strong, he should get in that side like a shot. Its the format designed for his attacking orthodox style.
