yes, muddled thinking again from ind with the slip[s in the wrong place (i.e. too close together so creating gaps - Ind really need to sort that slip cordon out!
Bowling with the new ball was too loose, Eng got off to a flier when they should have been under pressure.

I think that is a little harsh. I think it was probably out and certainly there was insufficient evidence to overrule the soft signal but it wasn't clear from the slow motion replay. There was plenty of cheering from England supporters on showing the replay thinking the ball had bounced. That is why they were booing and not necessarily Root's reaction.
