he looks all over the place in terms of his technique lately specially his shuffle he does as a trigger movement, causing him all sorts of issues lately.
Tough one though because he got class and his 25 did win the Johannesburg Test match.

If Vijay goes struggling to see india next opener unless they wanting to promote Gill and Shaw soon.
Can't See Dhawan surviving for much longer either.

In recent times India have been struggling to fit three openers into two spots. Maybe after this series they'll be looking for two new openers.

Thankfully india never playing 12 Back to back tough away matches in one season again.

Jheez how BCCI allowed india to have the back to back to back away tours in one season for so long is so baffling.

Think Rahul will secure the spot, he a class player and he will eventually score runs.
they will need to find another opener though, hopefully Vijay comes through as well though since he is a good player but he does seem to be struggling at the moment and he 35 ish now.

A big help for the selectors will be the end of the Away tours during Ranji trophy and domestic season.
because of clashes and overseas tours far too many of the future prospects don't play much domestic cricket and because of that not sure how ready the players can be for the Test team.
Kuldeep not played much first class cricket in the last 2-3 yrs because of Tours and being in the white ball team.

Test average of under 40 for a batter in a side with India's resources could be terminal.

Quite liked VJ, and liked to see him do well. Probably a good idea to drop him, but Dhawan looked equally hapless in the first Test.

Disgusting comments from holding so far in this test match.
What a poor and pathetic man for saying that.
Dude look at your own nation before commenting on other Teams.

It seems like Sky now have 3 racist commentators in their rota.

Bad taste to have a go at india wearing black bands for the passing of former india prime minister couple days ago.

Look like the indian batsman and Me got their wishes about a batting deck although to be fair enough movement there but the slowness of the deck allows the batsman to line up better and look more secure.

india will be pleased to be batting first on here, could have been messy if england batted first with their deep batting line up.

Trent bridge deck really needs to be relaid now.
think 3 or 4 slow decks in the last 5 yrs.
think the curator would want the English players and media to be quiet and Jimmy Anderson not getting a century if the game end in a dull draw.

Think Trent bridge can be banned if they get one more warning for a poor deck since the 2014 game got a warning although at the time it felt like Shami and Anderson batting and england not being happy with the deck contributed more to the warning than the actual deck, seen far worse than that one.

Dhawan looking good, nice to see he has actually worked on his game and not thinking this is my game and I am not changing my game.

Dhawan gone for 35 good innings from him, not sure he could have done much with that dismissal.

That dhawan innings probably confirmed the end of the Vijay series and career.
