Australian inexperience shows. Thank goodness there's the Marsh brothers for a bail-out :facepalm

Going to be a struggle to make the follow-on target now.

Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, and Head all have themselves to blame for dismissals...the others were good bowling etc to be fair

Head and Marsh may have underestimated the ability of the ball to beat the bat on this surface. Cant really blame Khawaja for that sweep, he'd made a point of playing the shot a lot, even reversing, and to be fair it worked for nearly a 100 runs, even if he did ride his luck at times.

It wasn;t the sweep that got him out, he didn't get dismissed playing a sweep, he was almost standing up, and lobbed it straight up in the air...he had just hit boundary, there was no need to do anything silly with the next ball

He's played the reverse and paddle sweep from that position all morning. I think he clearly set up to play that shot, but the ball was fired in a bit quicker, and he realised too late the ball was too short to play, and ended up just chipping it up. In my view, for a guy who struggles big time vs spin, for 85 runs he found a way to play the spin by doing that, so yeah its a crap shot, but it also got him a score.

Looking at the wickets, maybe a case also that the ball is just starting to get some uneven bounce. The Khawaja wicket seemed to bounce a little more, the Marsh one kept a fraction lower, and could argue Labuschange one also bounces a little higher than he expects, but I dont know if thats just the batsman error.....

Follow on is a 100 runs away, Starc can bat a bit, Siddle is no mug, but really youd have to back the Pakistans to finish this off and put Australia back in.

No debate for me, if they have the option, they have to ask Australia to follow on.

No follow on enforced... very silly move for me, just taken 10 wickets for 60 odd runs, get them back out. Not enforcing simply increases the draw odds
