Sidle had good stats in the CC. Hugely different challenge in UAE of course. I like him. Hope he does well.

was always gonna happen...criminal not to have frontline spinner...i know they dont wanna offer the aussies pratice against spin, but to have seamers just bowling in that heat is madness..

He'll run in all day with out loosing pace. He will also give some much needed experience to the team which i think is a good move. I also wonder if Siddle will get another ashes tour. When called on last time he bowled very well and was included a test to late. Must be in the back of the mind of Australian selectors. How was his bowling in country cricket this year?

He will play that role Kasprowicz played for Australia. Getting called up to bowl in unfavorable conditions whilst Australia rests its main bowlers for the summer ahead.

Doesn't say much about the backup. It was unfortunate for England that Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc were all fit for the five Ashes tests, given Australia's inability to keep their quicks fit otherwise.

Iftikhar has bowled 50 overs.

Asad, who is no more than a very occasional off spinner (5 fc wickets in an 11 yr career) has bowled 21.

Just exposes the absence of integrity in Pakistan's selection.
