not long to go...i think we will win the ODI'S, but Lanka will win the tests, they have a way of playing at home and it works, most teams go to sri lanka and lose these days

SL should beat England in the Tests. Hard to predict the ODIs though.

Strong SL batting in the warm up.

In what looks a convincing first ODI XI, Olly Stone is playing.

287-9 for SLC.

Couple of wickets at the death for Wood.

More overs for Honest Joe than Gentle Ben.

Woakes goes round the ground.

Moeen the best of the bowlers on stats.
I always say that everybody's right.

Maybe a case for playing Dawson and leaving out the third seamer?

No wickets for the Ferrari. Match delayed due to bad light.

Back out in the middle. England should win, with Root and Morgan well placed. Feels like a proper game.

England ought to be strong favourites for the ODI series IMO. England are miles ahead on the rankings, and home advantage seems to matter less in ODIs.

That said, never underestimate the ability of England to make me eat my words.

Shouldn't he be trying that for his local club and then Durham first?

Strike rates

Plunkett 30.4
T Curran 30.8
Woakes 33.5
Stokes 39.1
Wood 51.2

'He got a hold of the analyst and we looked at bowlers like Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins'.

'I'm not the same as them, they're a lot bigger than me and I'm shorter and skiddier. But when they're bowling quick how do they get their wickets? What kind of fields do they have? How do they get people out? It's all about seeing how different people go about it.'

I think it is time Curran opened the bowling if Wood doesn't know why he is not getting wickets.

My first choice - Woakes, T Curran, Stone, Stokes, Ali, Rashid
