Sides pretty much as expected..... hate to say it, but i rwally don't understand why and how Liam Dawson gets in the side....he isn't an international standard cricketer, good county pro, but must be a better 3rd spinner around than him...?

Malinga re-called at 35, again, a sign of the times for Sri Lanka, Clearly un-fit, carrying bit of timber, and pace is down, think they should be moving on from him now....

England lose early wicket, Bairstow caught behind off bowling of Pradeep. 49-1 after 8

Yeah it is. It looks grim there too. Shame as we were flying along!

Sounds as if it's about to be abandoned. Forecast is apparently poor for Saturday's game but there's a reserve day for that one.

Just one of those games no ones watching.

Malinga has 5. Turning the clock back a bit with his figures here.

Stone seems to have skipped a few places in the queue.

I guess he will play the remaining 3 ODIs and the T20. Wood probably played his last ODI. Maybe he will be kept for T20s only like Jordan.

In the past year we have used 10 fast bowlers
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine ... pe=bowling

So down to Woakes, Willey, Plunkett, T Curran, S Curran and Stone to fight it out for the 3 places over the next 6 months. Stokes is undroppable until he retires.

Plunkett and Woakes must be certs for two of these, as things stand.
