Big Vern not having such a good series compared with the other pace bowlers. Averaging over 30. Rabada is under 20 and Steyn on 25. One of these pacers is going to have to make way one day.

Well, given that South Africa's next series is a home series against Sri Lanka, and given that Otis Gibson has always been a fan of the four-prong pace attack, that decision will probably be postponed until South Africa tour India later in the year. That said, Philander doesn't bowl well in the Subcontinent, so it seems very likely that Maharaj will return for him in those Tests.

Rabada gets his second. Amir out for four.

Rabada making sure that he's not the one who will have to give way....
Steyn is 35 and Philander is 34, so they will probably call it a day some time in the near future. Ngidi's waiting in the wings when they do....

Rabada gets his third. Hasan out caught and bowled for 22.

Pakistan 273 all out.

Olivier 3-74
Rabada 3-75
Steyn 2-80
Philander 1-41

South Africa win 3-0

I think the SA players might be asking the groundsman where were these pitches when they played India?

There was one wicket where a lot of batsmen from both sides were getting injured. Haven't seen close to that wicket in this series.

South Africa 1 Hashim Amla, 2 Reeza Hendricks, 3 Rassie van der Dussen, 4 Faf du Plessis (capt.), 5 David Miller, 6 Andile Phehlukwayo, 7 Heinrich Klaasen (wk), 8 Kagiso Rabada, 9 Dwaine Pretorius, 10 Duanne Olivier, 11 Imran Tahir

Pakistan 1 Fakhar Zaman, 2 Imam-ul-Haq, 3 Babar Azam, 4 Mohammad Hafeez, 5 Shoaib Malik, 6 Sarfraz Ahmed, 7 Shadab Khan, 8 Imad Wasim, 9 Fahim Ashraf, 10 Hasan Ali, 11 Usman Shinwari

This Saffer ODI side is very different from their Test team. Only du Plessis, Amla, Rabada and Olivier played in the Test series.

Surprised that left arm pacer Usman Shinwari is playing ahead of Shaheen Afridi. Think he is being rested so that Usman gets few matches before WC. Shaheen though is a certain starter for WC imo.

Reeza batted well until the specialist spinner Shadab came to bowl. Amla scores 50 :clap Is he getting rid of the horrible bad patch of 2018.

SA 118/1 in 25 overs.

Amla and Rassie have put on a 82 from 109 balls. At this rate 300 looks a very tough ask.
