The report I read claimed 4 drops, all of which were comical. I guess they only counted the most obvious ones. Sound like Sri Lanka had a few amateur hours.

Sri Lanka were very poor. Only one wicket was actually a good ball, the other three were poor shots (in Head's case, I think it was just a lapse in concentration).

But the so-called quicks we're just medium pace, no real threat once the shine had gone. I expect Cummins will be much more of a threat when he bowls tomorrow...

Its nice to see Head get a 100, and Burns take his chance.

But from watching the Highlights SL seemed a long way from where they once were. They could be going down the bottom of the test ranking judging from today.

Harris and Khawaja were out to shocking deliveries. I think its time to start talking about Khawaja again. He is not batting well. He should be the premier batsman in this team.

Hard for SL with their second choice pace attack playing.

Good crowd in today.

It's pretty gloomy. Lights are on. Not much movement yet though.

Joe Burns winning Battle of the Burns' with Rory. That's his best Test score beating the 170 in NZ. Fourth Test ton and takes his average into the forties. Well done to him.

Sri Lanka attack is hopelessly pedestrian. Not too inaccurate, but No turn, pace, swing, seam or bounce.

Four innings against this SL side, yet to be dismissed and three centuries.
