It'd be amusing if they follow up last weeks selection howler in picking two spinners with another howler in not picking two spinners! Denly a more than useful spinner in one day cricket but I don't know if he bowls much in FC cricket.

He's not an opener in fc cricket.

Not many Tests played at the Viv Richards ground but it seems pace has done well there, but Narine and Ashwin have had productive games. Anderson and Broad have played there twice each but only have seven wickets between them (once really as one game was abandoned). Stokes went wicketless there in a game. Tredwell did best for England with five wickets in a game including 4-47.

Six games there, half were draws. WI beat BD and NZ, lost to India.

One of those draws was the famous game which lasted ten balls.

Thanks, sounds as if it might be an unpredictable surface. Could be a recipe for further chaos.

Some sarcastic tweeter mentioned that with so many fc games played at the start of the season the middle order are usually in by 11.05 in any case! It is odd though for a test side to have an opener who hasn't opened for years and a number 3 who is middle order keeper/batsman!
It's a statement of the obvious but until/unless England can find an effective top 3 the batting collapses will continue as the middle order is constantly up against the new ball and fresh bowlers. It'll probably the customary 20/3 at some point over the next couple of days.
