Fifty up for Hope. Should be a good period here for WI with the ball pretty old now.

Drop from buttler

Wasn't easy but he'd expect to catch it

Threatening to all go wrong for the WI here.

The pitch sounded a bit dodgy in the previews. Maybe batting first will be a big advantage.

Anderson's second wicket of the winter sees off Shai Hope. Did he have a bit of a run in with Jimmy the Saint in the series in England?

This being the WI, it could all end suddenly.

I think Jeffrey Dujon said , just now on Sky , 255 was the average first innings score here. Ian Ward thinks 320 is par. Windies have a more than decent attack though so any decent total might be tricky for England- a long batting lineup but not a reliable one!

Starting to look a costly drop from buttler now

Great shot from hetmyer, picking Rashids googly and putting him in the top tier

That 255 score is the first innings average in the last 5 test matches.

New ball coming up, so a crucial period if WI are going to bust that recent record.

Fifty partnership.

Anderson with the new ball.

Curran or Stokes?

Presumably Curran to give him a chance of getting orthodox swing.
