6-49 for the second new ball.

The Durham player in the XI is having a good game so far.

Roy and JB1. If the Test side continues to evolve into the ODI side.

Yes, that may well be the case. Bob Willis said that, come the Ashes, someone not used to opening in test matches might have to do it.

Holder fancies his chances? Bowling change very early, not sure if Roach has got injured.

Shanon and Roach have bowled very quick in comparison, but they will need wickets with new ball as England have a long batting lineup. 8 overs seen of by Rory and Keaton. Nearing lunch time.

England 19/0 in 8 overs.

Keaton tried to play one more drive after the previous 4 but manages to only edge this time to Shai. Wicket for Jason. :clap

Burns edges wide of the fielder. Windies need a few with the new ball, but need a bit more luck to get them

Yeah, he lacks consistent good scores. Averages 27, which is horrible for specialist batsman

I'm trying to think of a worse batsman

That was a military medium long half volley and he somehow managed to get out to it

Sam curran is a better batsman

He scored one hundred when he was dropped without scoring a run to a proper clanger, and his hundred in SL came with the benefit of more than one drop before he reached 30 odd by memory. Other than that the desert is dry. Essentially, unless he gets gifted his wicket back a few times, he always fails because he always gives you chances.

He isnt a technically sound player. And why is he getting a longer opportunity to fail, when guys like Robson looked far better and lasted half the time?

He seems a decent player of spin, has hundreds in India and sri Lanka, but is utterly hopeless against seam bowling

Even stoneman looked a better player

Should be instructive how Jennings does against pace given his runs in SL. Though this is supposed to be a slow pitch.

Spot on. One wicket down at lunch and " not very well" is how he fared against pace! Someone had a stat in Twitter - outside Asia his test average is 17!
