Steading the ship this pair. England not bowled well to this group. Broad been th main treat, and to be fair Curran's figures don't do him justice. He bowled some lovely stuff

Shocking strike rate for a second day of play......... Lets hope England don't learn from this.

Not watching this, but in the first test that i watched, Curran did not look dangerous at all.

A lead of 75 or more would make it very very hard for England

84 run lead with 4 wickets remaining. England have to skittle them early tomorrow, I think. Even then 100 run lead would be very handy... England can easily lose 5 just trying to catch up

WIndies may have played and missed a lot, but they were much tighter and left better than England. Covering the off stump and playing straight and close to the body has paid dividends. This approach was evidenced by the number of scoring shots played straight down the ground. With the ball moving away our bowlers had to be far more accurate to induce an edge as they played inside the line of the ball. Very few attempts to take on the short ball either. Very disciplined batting on a difficult pitch which means more time for the WIndies bowlers to stay fresh.
Good contest.
My obligatory one post a week. :)

Alzarri Joseph's mother was found dead this morning. Wonder if he will play anymore part in this game....got to feel for him, cricket takes a back seat in these moments.

Like to think both captains could agree on a replacement for him to come in

On cricinfo:

However, there has been some incredibly sad news coming out of the West Indies camp. Alzarri Joseph's mother, Sharon, died this morning. CWI confirmed the news in a statement, adding: "Please join us as we express our heartfelt condolences to Alzarri and his family during this very difficult time." And so say all of us. How terrible.
:(
Condolences, Alzarri....

If he does play on, you really wouldn't begrudge him tearing england out in the second innings.

Is Holder the most important player in the WI team now? After his last innings of scoring quickly, he has changed is style here to the match situation.

WI are just playing this match so much smarter than England. :salute
