KJ will be back. Even if only on a tour to Asia. But he might even get to play Ireland. He was only dropped for an instant.

Gabriel is bowling no ball after no ball and they arent being called

Noticed at least 3 from the replays when hes been hit for 4

So I cant imagine how many he is actually bowling

he shouldn't be...not enough tours to Asia reguarly to just be selected for them, and he is dreadful....early season CC runs will be massive...Ian Bell could well find himself back in the top order if he gets off to a good start...

Denly has played some excellent shots this morning

Time to be greedy against a tiring bowling attack

Same goes for root

Denly played well

Got himself out though

Wont get many easier chances to make a test hundred

Yes and no

He was unlucky in that it hit his thigh pad and went on to the stumps

But if he was any good he wouldn't have missed it in the first place

Better to score runs even though it's a bit late, than fail again.

But maybe to be observed with a bit of a shrug.

At least Jennings did what he was supposed to do as opener. he lasted 27 overs before getting out, blunting the ball, and the bowlers, which Root and Buttler are now exploiting

feels like a simpler game now, than it did when England were routinely losing 6 -10 wickets in a session

only Denly has a SR higher than 50 in this innings..... which I approve of

Of course, we can only score runs against a tired and heavily depleted attack.

Yep and Burns and Denley survived for a good while in the first innings, think the second wicket didn't go down until about 30 overs the other day. A rather unfortunate dismissal for Jennings today but bad luck seems to accompany bad form.

which is as it should be

The longer you keep the bowlers bowling the more tired they get and the more likely they are to pick up injuries. The best teams make their own luck
