Halfway through the afternoon session for me, just to take defeat out of the equation.

The timing of the declaration suggests Root wants it done and dusted by today and earn a bonus day off. Can't blame him considering how condensed the tour schedule is, but disappointing to see Root play unconventional shots so soon when he had time to register 150-200, which would make a bigger statement in a return to form.
