Congratulations to Roston and WI for winning the series.

POTS? Jason or Kemar?

POTS for England. Maybe Gentle Ben?

Kemar, surely for POTS. He's been outstanding.

I'd say Ben for England. Top run scorer, best average (although neither of those is saying very much), and second highest-wicket taker and second-best average. A pretty solid all-round contribution, and one of the few players who did much of anything in England's two defeats, as well as an important contribution to victory over the last four days.

Players England should definitely take out of this series into the Ashes.

Bairstow had a poor series, Buttler too. Wood had a strong spell. Burns will be retained. But no one else can really be inked in apart from the names above.

I presume that's Test cricket tidied away for a long time.

Quite right AC. England's selection is so dire it would be funny if the Ashes weren't imminent.

Burns and Denly probably deserve to retain their places if they are amongst the runs in the County Championship. Broad and Wood should be part of the squad.

Denly and Root bowling capable spin means England can go with 5 seamers if they prepare seam friendly wickets.

Seam friendly wickets and a few favourable coin tosses are our only chance, IMO.

Apparently the Barmy Army sang YMCA and It's Raining Men during Gabriel's innings, in support of Joe Root's response to him the day before. 8-)

ICC have charged Gabriel. At this rate, he could miss the first test against India.

Silly boy!

Good to see the ICC take a stand.

Denly has a KKR IPL contract, I think, so he won't be scoring many runs in the CC, although there will probably be 2 or 3 matches between the IPL and the ashes

Bet he regrets that decision now.

Although his sack full of gold will soften the blow im sure.

8 rounds of County Championship cricket between Mid-May and Mid-July before the T20 Blast begins. Non England World Cup players will have sufficient matches to get their eye in.

looks as though the IPL is earlier this year with it being a world cup year. He could back out of it, I suppose, but then he might view 4 rounds of early season county cricket as something unlikely to enhance his test chances
