Three for TC. His wicket taking record isn't bad, even if he goes for a few.

Another good chase by England, and another series win, but I'm not sure this series has done much as an audition for the squad.

well.... that was rather hard work in the end. At 200-1 it seemed as though it was only a matter of how many overs would be left unused. Then a couple of quick wickets followed by a couple of brainless wickets and suddenly the game was in the balance. It was good for Stokes to win the match, but it should not have come down to him and Rashid to finish the job.

One of those boundaries was only 50 metres

50 metres!

and I'm getting a bit annoyed about all the 500 hype

It's what we seem to do in this country.... the press, the media, the comms, and now the ECB.........all get carried away over something completely irrelevant

'will today be the day that England score 500?'

'will it be tomorrow?'

'should we re-calibrate the scoreboards for when England score 500?'

*modded* off............just get on with the job in hand :angry

and certainly don't mark out a pitch with 50m boundaries just because FTECB and the oleaginous Mark Nicholas want to see 500 runs

England will throw a load of WC semi final wickets away trying to set a 500+ target and end up being bowled out inside 40 overs for 300 and end up being knocked out

I can see it coming..... bleeding obvious

England should not let all these half wits distract them from the job in hand

Tom Curran is basically playing himself out of the World Cup squad.

Presume this was posted before the four wickets ? I think that and the late batting has actually cemented his spot...

Still anyone's guess which bowlers will make the final fifteen , I think.

Perhaps not. Does seem to indicate that Wood's fitness issues haven't impacted him ...a pretty good return to the field both bowling and fielding . Guess Vince went some way to justify his reserve batting spot too.

Has Archer actually done enough to displace anyone ? (I'm assuming he will ; but it would surely be more on the general push for him than his actual performances so far. I did quite like his finishing spell ; but he's not yet had much of an impact on the wickets column)
