not sure why England are warming up, given that they are already fully warmed up. Why would you give Australia a sneaky peek ahead of the real thing?

Faf du Plessis was instrumental in South Africa's game against Sri Lanka today.

For me he is the most underrated player in world cricket.
"It has been said of the unseen army of the dead, on their everlasting march, that when they are passing a rural cricket ground the Englishman falls out of the ranks for a moment to look over the gate and smile."

Pretty disappointing these are squad games.

Still, great for Afghanistan to beat Pakistan.

Wood and Stokes shared an over so I guess one is injured.

These squad games just exhaust any possibly excitement that might be building for the WC.

With the one cup final being today, shouldn't England have played on Friday instead?
Sports broadcasting media nut miscast as a hard-working family man. Or should that be the other way around?

Close finish to England vs Australia...a bit of a comedy of errors between the last wicket pair of Rashid and Archer.

Run out now. Aussies win.

Dawson had to come off with an injured hand

I saw Archer limping around after putting in a boundary slide

I still don't know why England are playing warm up's. Seems foolish in the extreme

perhaps there's a quid in it for the ECB?

Half the England squad seems to be injured. Perfect timing England.

Very worrying.

That warm-up match didn't go to plan....

Rain forced it to be abandoned. Gabriel seems to have injured himself - I hope it's not serious. The batsmen from the IPL didn't get a chance to bat in English conditions.

Aside from that, everything was fine!

And George Dobell is suggesting that England are very concerned over Wood's injury. Scan results today and I suspect Willey might be in the squad before the day is done!

It's just as well there are only a few more days of warm-up matches to go- otherwise there'd be an even longer casualty list before the tournament has started.
