You'd be inclined to think NZ are well.behind, but with santner bowling like he is, and Pakistan seemingly happy just to bat him out, they might start to feel a bit of RR pressure.

Pakistan going at not much more than 3 an over in the past ten. But plenty of room to manoeuvre.

Not a good result for England, but good for the tournament.

Would have thought Pakistan would have tried to get their NRR up....at the moment they are barely doing this in 50

Pakistan trying to preserve NZ NRR, for reasons not yet clear.

Back of an envelope calc.

Aus beat NZ. Eng beat NZ. India beat Eng. Pak win final game.

All remains equal and England scrape through.

No denyin that the last two matches have really made the latter part of the group stages interesting. Something a week ago that was looking a formality. Good for World Cup cricket.

Pakistan are always a team with a surprise or three in hand. Even the surprise can be surprising. What do they have in store for us? If they were to make the semis, it would be to win it, or go down by 184 runs.

I'm thinking that it is to do with Afridi being a pants bowler last he saw him, and a good one now. Beyond that, I don't get it.

I don't think so, England go out in that situation.

England need Bangladesh to beat Pakistan but lose to India in order to go through with one win.

Lose to India and we're reliant on other results.

I reckon we've had it.
