I expect BD think Afg can't score more than 250, even on their best day.

Ambris should have been there from the beginning.

Seems a bit tough on Afghanistan to play two games in three days.

He'd definitely be one all-rounder in a current World XI.

Can't think of many others who'd be definites at the minute: Kohli, Buttler and Bumrah maybe?

The bookies have England as 1 to 16 shots to reach the last 4

Even more surprisingly Pakistan (13/2) are less than half the price of Bangladesh (14/1) to qualify. With the winner of the match between the pair on July 5th the likely beneficiary of England losing their next 3 games, would Pakistan be heavy favourites on the day?

Should be some traditional rivalry here. An Aussie win will do a lot of damage to England which might be a motivation.

I rarely 'get' odds, but I assume that is unbackable odds?

I also thought that England would do better if they were going into a pressure match, as this is (a little). Neither the Pak or SL games were.

Forecast for Lord's doesn't look terrible. Starts off worse and gets better without being good.

Supposed to be 44 degrees in France. Which is crazy. That's the sort of temperature I only used to see in the middle east.

I only looked in Aylesbury, which is about 40 miles north of Lords and it was raining for most of the day. I was kinda hoping for a point in honesty, Arthur!
