Australia A Tour of England

Postby The Professor » Thu Jun 20, 2019 9:49 pm

.....Started today with a 50-over game against Northamptonshire.

Next cab off the rank Matthew Wade proved his next cab off the rank status with a score of 117 as Australia A chased down Northants' 262 with 84 balls to spare.

155 off 71 balls today for Wade!

Plus a six-fer for Andrew Tye.

Good times for Aussie A.

Frustratingly the Australia A team will have to come back to score 10 runs tomorrow morning.

Joe Burns has impressed after a lengthily lay off with 133.

Whilst the eyes of the cricketing world were on Lord's, England Lions started a four day game against Australia A yesterday.

Day One's highlight was a 219 run fourth wicket partnership with Travis Head's overnight 130 looking mighty impressive. Today he only managed a further nine more.....but was all out as Australia A collapsed from 362/4 at he start of play to 397 all out. Sam Curran was the decimator in chief as he got five of the six wickets to add to his one from yesterday.

England Lions stand at 232/6 overnight - trailing by 165 runs.
