But none more fall for the rest of the day.

Aus have a very strong grip on the 'urn' after today's play. 3/265. You'd think they'll be eyeing off 400 tomorrow. Perry is 16 away from a second successive Ashes test century.

We're not complaining about it down here.

I was wondering about 10 minutes ago what sort of impact Ben Stokes will have on the upcoming Ashes. He may not be as relatively dominant, but he looks like he could well be England's most important player.

Test Match fizzled out a bit , didn't it ? No one really took it on...can't blame Australia , wanting to protect that six point lead ; but for all their talk of going for a win they basically settled down to bat England out of the game after winning the toss. Despite some commentators fantasy they were never going to declare and leave England any sort of a chance : why would you ?
As for England they really had no hope of winning after Australia batted into the third day so any kamikaze attempt to engineer a win would have likely presented their heads on a plate...

A pity : the women play too few Tests and this sort of game doesn't boost the players' desire to play more. But in fairness , if they played more we'd probably see better games... Livelier pitches might help too.

Ellyse Perry is some player !

I've seen interviews with players who wish they played more test cricket than the odd one every couple of years. Should be 5 days too

Perry is indeed some player

might even be the best cricketer in the world atm and I include the men in that

This is still going on folks - and Australia are on fire. Meg Lanning is currently on 118 from 56, and Aus 3/204 with 2 overs remaining. Aus look like getting their highest ever score (209), and setting England an almost impossible chase.

Australia are just way too good for England. Fair play to the Aussie ladies, taking things to another level

I'm watching the highlights as I type.

Jeez.... no wonder the Aussies are dominating this series.... England are just dreadful

Their bowling is terrible, their fielding awful and their batting woeful

I don't know the final result, but chasing 200 and lots, I doubt England have got 100 runs in them

even whe the batter actually manage to hit the ball, they run themselves out

shambles

bowlers were bowling a steady stream of cutters and back of the hand slower balls which Australia were happy to thump into the stands. Compare that with Perry bowling full pace and shaping the ball away, and Schutt bowling full pace and shaping the ball in....carnage

Aussie women have been outstanding on this trip :salute

But the English team seems to have fallen off a cliff. Not sure whats wrong there : Taylor obviously has been a huge loss with her mental issues sadly derailing her game , but the bowling hasn't really fired either , Shrubsole no impact , Brunt probably not 100% fit . And the fielding seems a bit off...
Has the coach perhaps reached his sell by date ? Will leave it to those close up but I am sure questions will be asked in the aftermath of this hammering.
