Jason Holder has been rested from West Indies' squad for the first two ODIs against Ireland, to be played in Barbados on January 7 and 9. This is the only change from the most recent ODI squad that completed a tour of India last month, with its strength dropping from 15 to 14.

West Indies ODI squad: Kieron Pollard (capt), Sunil Ambris, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Keemo Paul, Khary Pierre, Nicholas Pooran, Romario Shepherd, Hayden Walsh

The decline of West Indies might be referred on a regular basis, but Ireland just look like a shadow of their former selves.

If newly formed test nations are not getting enough international matches, at least have more warm up games in an attempt to get match sharp. West Indies winning the opening ODI with 15+ overs to spare is not good for the long term game.

What a peach of a delivery from Simi Singh to dismiss Nic Pooran - around the wicket, full, pitching off stump, hitting top of middle :clap

Ireland so close in the 2nd ODI.

Seems like a classic match that will not get the coverage it deserves.
