Six wickets for Ngidi is a superb in an ODI. Sixth best for SA v top eight sides.
I always say that everybody's right.

bloody Miller was the worst import I think I have seen in the BBL. Worse than useless. Hobart stuck with him for every game, in the hope that he would give at least one decent innings. But no, he saved them up for his SA games, against Aus.

I hope that he doesn't have a contract with Hobart next BBL season.

SA side looking unfamiliar. Three early wickets though, including one for Daryn Dupavillion.

254. A 1990s score. Should be tough to defend.

There was a day long, open discussion yesterday on the weekend ABC radio sports show, on how Mitchell Starc has been given permission by CA to flyhome before last night's 3rd ODI with RSA to be able to watch his wife play in the T20 World Cup final. (it didn't dominate the day, just was something they'd go back to and canvassed the audience opinions)

Good on Starc, good on CA, imo. It was, after all, a mean-nothing money-making (hopefully) series, and Aus had already lost the series.

The vast majority of feedback was positive for Starc/CA, with plenty of people adding "it's none of our business". That bit I disagree with - I think it's great that Starc does get to support his wife in a big occasion, but I also think that it IS our business. We, as ticket-buyers, ad-watchers, subscription-makers, have a vested interest in the team, so it is our business to know about these things, but not to decide anything.

After his innings, he was interviewed, and the interviewer tried, and tried again, and again, to have the whole "Seffer boy playing for Aus, revisiting his old stomping grounds in front of an adoring local crowd" narrative.

Aussie Marnus wasn't having any of it - after about the fourth effort by the interviewer to get him commenting on it, he said "look, I was so young when I left, I don't remember much. Australia's my country, I love playing for Australia".

The crowd WERE right behind him though. Pretty unusual that a Seffer crowd cheer for an Aussie player so much...
