Relative newcomer Kevin Kasuza held together a frail Zimbabwean middle order as the visiting side went to 291-7 in the first day of their two day game against a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI.

Kasuza, who has progressed from the A team and benefited from the mini revolution in Zimbabwe's side, got 70 off 130 balls - and held together six partnerships of decreasing length.

Good first day for BD I suppose.

Wonderboy Mehidy Hasan seems to have fallen out of favour.

Bangladesh have shown their class on Day Two. Mominul Haque has also shown that his newly elected role of captain hasn't had any effect on him at all as he top scored with 79*.

Taijul was particularly effective today. Regular wickets to down them.

This was a bit of a banger today.

The headlines will be grabbed by Tamim Iqbal getting the highest score for a Bangladesh player in ODIs with a mega-knock of 158 but it was a strong game all round. He also used this match to tick over the 7000 run mark in ODIs - rapidly leaving Shakib Al Hasan in the dust.

For Bangladesh to post their eighth highest ODI score ever and for Zimbabwe to get their twelfth highest in attempting to chase it down proves it was a real thriller.
